(this is my first attempt at Sue Vincent’s Thursday Photo Prompt)
Window of the World
I have heard of a place,
A window on the world
From there you can see forever, even
the edges.
The journey is hard–
you must climb so high
that there is nowhere left to go
but down.
A hermit lives there.
He will give you no answers which
cannot be found at the bottom of a cup of
hot tea.
When you finally look out
over that vast estate
which holds your life as it is and as it was and
shall be,
For one clear moment,
in a instant of radiance,
you’ll find that everything you ever needed to know
is you.
